Funeral for Jerry Lynn Newton, 54, of Lithia, Fla, and formerly of Moulton, was held Monday at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Morris officiating.
Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Newton died Thursday, November 30, 2000, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Fla. He was born June 28, 1946, in Alabama. He was a truck driver for Burris Trucking Co. He was the son of the late Arthur Porter Newton.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Newton; two daughters, Paula Kay Newton of Bradley, Fla, and Dawn Koers of Indianapolis; one stepson, Scott Adams of Bloomington, Ill; one stepdaughter, Wendy Adams of Elgin, Ill; his mother, Audrey Smerdel of Lakeland; his stepfather, Joe Smerdeal of Lakeland; and three sisters, Martha Capps of Mulberry, Fla, Rochelle Madsen of Lakeland and Joy Rogers of Woodridge, Ill.
