Maxine Beltz, 76, of Marshall died at 5:57 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 1990 in the emergency room at Union Hospital at Terre Haute, Ind.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 6 at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall, with Bro. Jeff Noel and Bro. John Cutshall officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 7 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born December 11, 1922 at Dennison, the daughter of Steve and Tillie (Somers) Pruiett. She married Dwight Beltz on February 3, 1944 in Robinson.

Survivors include her husband, Dwight; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Chuck Bucher of Marshall and Sandy and Ben Johnson of West Terre Haute, Ind.; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Beth Beltz of Marshall; a sister, Cora McDaniel of Terre Haute, Ind.; a mother, Ray Pruiett of Washington, Ind.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Mrs. Beltz was formerly an operator with the Marshall office of GTE and was retired from the Marshall School District. She was a member of he First Christian Church of Marshall, the Royal Neighbors of America, the Burnsides Guild and was a hospice volunteer. She was a graduate of Valley High School at West Terre Haute and was the valedictorian of her graduating class.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Clark County Cancer Society, Lincolnland Hospital or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
