CHARLES I. PERRY, 86, DIES
Charles I. Perry, 86, of Decatur, formerly of Kinmundy, passed away at 4:00 A.M. Saturday, August 21, 1993, at Friendship Manor in Mount Zion, Illinois.
He was born February 27, 1907, in Marion County, Illinois, the son of Ervin and Ella Mae Mulvaney Perry. He was retired from Borg-Warner as a machinist. He married Viola A. Davison(sic), June 23, 1928, and she preceded him in death on February 1, 1977.
Surviving are four sons, Charles W. Perry and Albert Perry of Decatur, David Perry of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Wayne Perry of Phean(sic), California; one daughter, Gloria Levitt of Urbana; two brothers, Paul Perry of South Dakota and Cleo Perry of Bement; two sisters, Maxine McCarty of Dieterich and Beulah Veteto of Farina; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 23 at the Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy, with Rev. Stephen Palmer officiating. Burial was in Phillips Cemetery, Kinmundy. Visitation was held on Monday two hours prior to the funeral.
