Benjamin Thomas Davis served as Captain in Company E, Twenty-First South Carolina Infantry, C.S.A. He was killed in action in the Battle of Bermuda Hundred/Fort Stevens/Cold Harbor, Virginia and is buried there. Gen. W.D. Craig had this stone placed to his memory.
