**Hazel Ward Ahrens, Born 11-23-1918, died resting quietly in bed at Village Oaks Retirement Center at Farmers Branch, Texas from Natural Causes on Monday, July 6, 2009 shortly before 9AM with her daughter, Anna Lee Ahrens, at her side.
**Hazel Ahrens was on born November 23, 1918 in Stillwater, OK to the joy of Charles O Ward, Father and Nellie Lee Ward, Mother. Hazel married Frank Leslie Ahrens, Jr, who served and died for this nation during World War II.
**Hazel was a cancer survivor 46-year ago when she went to a Wholistic clinic in Mexico. Hazel partitioned and was granted permission from the Oklahoma Supreme Court to import Laetrile into Oklahoma for her cancer treatment.
**Hazel worked for many years as the Executive Administrator for an independent oil producer in Tulsa, OK., where she lived till moving to Dallas, TX in February 2001.
**Hazel's secret to her long life was immersing herself into a hot bubble bath, listening to classical music, and enjoying life.
**Hazel is survived by daughter, Anna Lee Ahrens and her husband, Richard Dudley of Dallas, TX; her Granddaughter Leslie Morris Casey and her husband, Rich Casey. Hazel was preceded in death by Frank Leslie Ahrens, Jr, husband; and William H Morris III, grandson.
