On Tuesday afternoon, July 7, 2009, Huey Hubert Marlow, known to everyone as "Sonny", passed away and went home to be with his Savior, his parents, his brothers, Frankie, Reece and Tommy and his sisters, Covie, Helen, Clara, Dean, and Marie. Sonny is survived by his wife of 56 years,Geraldine (Blevins) Marlow and his eight children: Linda Lines of Compton, CA; Danny and Melissa Marlow of Muskogee; Gwen Marlow of Redmond, WA; Alberta and Mike McMurray of Selah, WA; Lonney and Star Marlow of Muskogee; Vera and Gary Epperson of Muskogee; Loria and Johnny Terrell of Muskogee, and Gloria and Benny Akard of Muskogee; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren with two on the way. He is also survived by one sister, Vera Jo Gant and several nieces and nephews.Sonny was born in Braggs, October 16, 1926 to Hubert and Myrtle Marlow. He was a hard working and generous man, always giving to anyone in need. Some of his happiest times were spent giving all his grandkids rides on the trailer pulled from the back of his lawn mower. He was famous for having candy in his pockets to dole out to his many grandkids. Sonny will always be remembered by everyone who knew and loved him.A celebration of Sonny's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Bradley Belltower Chapel with Pastor Steve Moss officiating. Burial will follow at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, OK. The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.
