Sidney Stonewall Jackson Dotson "Jack" Sidney Stonewall Jackson Dotson, age 76, passed away July 3, 2009, from complications of heart surgery.

Born May 21, 1933, in Kansas City, MO to Robert and Lillian Dotson. Married Rowena Olsen, Dec. 1954. Together they had three sons.

Later married Diane Shelton Ince, Oct. 1986. Moved to SLC as a child. Enjoyed faithfully serving his country for 36 years in multiple military branches.

Jack enjoyed travel, camping, Fish Lake, and companionship with Diane. He loved being a grandpa to 31 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Life long involvement in scouting and received the Silver Beaver and Silver Beehive as well as a life member of Wood Badge. Member of the LDS church and served faithfully in many callings.

He will be missed dearly by his dog, Murphy. Survived by his wife, Diane; sons, Brent (Jolene), Lloyd (Kathy), and Von (Lisa); 5 step children, Paul Ince, Kai (Brent) Cummings, Peggi Ince-Whiting, Ken (Jill) Ince, and Bill (Bonnie) Ince; Preceded in death by his first wife, Rowena.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, 11:00 am at the Cannon 9th Ward, 1250 W. 1400 S. A viewing will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. and one hour prior to services at the church.

Jack's casket was carried to the cemetery in "Big Red" - his faithful truck that was used in many adventures - over 250,000 miles.
