Lester Betz died at Hamburg Wednesday afternoon following two weeks illness. He was born in Stockton and resided in the Hazleton district all his life. Before being taken ill he was employed for the Lehigh Valley Coal Company. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Gladys Paisley Betz and the following children: Lester Jr., Doris and Calvin Betz. One sister Mrs. Earl Koehler and a brother, Willard Betz both of Philadelphia, also survive. The body will be brought to the funeral home of Bachman Brothers on West Broad street, form where the funeral will be held privately on Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with interment in Vine street cemetery. rev. MacMorris will officiate. Some relatives at Audenried are his only survivors.
