PERRY, Jeffrey Alan
(Age 47)

Born October 16, 1961 to Margaret (Betty) Perry in Spokane, passed away June 22, 2009 after battling cancer bravely with a positive attitude and a sense of humor throughout. Jeff grew up in Spokane, graduating from University High School. He resided in Springfield, Oregon for 15 years before returning to Spokane in 2008. Jeff was a gifted artist. He brought joy to others through face and body painting, elaborate costumes, and murals that can still be seen in many Oregon locations. Even while he was in the hospital he was expressing himself creatively and sharing his gift. Nurses would come by to have him draw something special for them. Jeff lived as humbly as he could, but with a touch of creative flair. Having a caring nature and positive outlook, he was always looking out for others. He continued this same spirit in his death by donating his body to cancer research (www.medcure.org) and hoped to get one step closer to finding a cure. He will be greatly missed by his many loving friends and family as well as his beloved dogs, Stoie and Scrappy. An interment will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2009, 11:00 am at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224.

When I met Jeffrey I needed someone to paint my house and he had been recommended. Little did I know he would become a friend and a angel to me. He was a gifted artist but needed to augment his income so house painted was it. I would get up at 3 AM to get ready for work and he would be outside with a light painting away. He said it was when he did his best work. When I told him my son sent me white butterflies after he passed away Jeffrey painted a beautiful white butterfly on my window. (it is still there)

He had 2 beautiful dogs and one of them only had three legs due to an accident so Jeffrey rigged up a child carrier behind his bicycle and carried him in it while the other one ran along side. His dogs always came first.

Jeffrey was a very special person and I miss him dropping by
to see if I need any thing or just to chat. I could always talk him in to staying for dinner.

He leaves behind many friends in Springfield and Eugene and is missed...
