Russell Challman, 25 years old, of Galva, veteran of seven world war battles, was found dead in his room at a hotel in Council Bluffs. Coroner Cutler said a postmortem would be held to determine the cause of death, as it was suggested he may have died from alcohol poison. Challman was having an artificial foot fitted. He had only one arm.
