The Funeral For Harold M. Siron
Lexington -- The funeral for Harold M. Siron, 82, of 606 E. South St., Lexington, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of Christ Uniting, Lexington, the Rev. Dennis Pritchard officiating. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Musselman-Beck Funeral Home, Lexington. He died at 9:02 p.m. Monday (Nov. 25, 1996) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal. Memorials may be made to Church of Christ Uniting, Lexington Ambulance Service or Lexington Community Center.
Survivors include his wife, Verneil Siron; one daughter, Connie Sue Bork, 608 E. South St., Lexington; three sisters, Irene Martin, Lexington; Lois Arends, Melvin; and Nan Nelson, Blairsville, Ga.; and three brothers, Keith Siron, Morris; Paul Siron, Elwood and Richard Siron, Lexington.
Also surviving are two grandsons, Geoff Bork, Eureka and Scott Bork, Macomb.
Mr. Siron was born Jan. 11, 1914, in Lexington, the son of Floyd and Litta Breese Siron. He married Verneil Garrett Jan. 29, 1938, in Lexington.
He was preceded in death by one son-in-law, James Bork.
Mr. Siron was a retired grain farmer in the Lexington area for more than 45 years.
He was a member of Church of Christ Uniting and the Kiwanis Club of Lexington. He was a 1933 graduate of Lexington High School. He was an avid golfer.
