Betty, 86, passed away at Vernon Manor. Betty was born the daughter of James Bertram and Lillian Florence (Yeager) Callaway. She was a 1941 graduate of Soldiers Grove High School, and graduated from Coleman Tech, now known as Western Technical College, learning to be a switchboard operator. Betty married Roger Andrew in Waukon, IA on May 27, 1943. In addition to farming and raising their family, they provided foster care for developmentally disabled persons. Faith was central in Betty's life. She was a lifetime member of the La Farge United Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday school superintendent and teacher, and an active member of the United Methodist Women and the Rebecca Circle. She enjoyed her memberships with the Rockton Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Allen McVey Women's Relief Corps and the Crafty Cookers Homemakers. Betty and Roger were active members of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau and the Polled Hereford Association, and attended many functions of these organizations. Survivors include her husband, Roger Andrew of La Farge, WI; their children, five daughters; four sons in law; two sons and their wives; her former daughter-in-law; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister and brother and their families; sisters-in-law; brother-in-law; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; her siblings, Gladys (Ben) Fuchs, Bernice (Norman) Swadley, Willard (Trudy) Callaway, Helen (Frank) Kirschtein, Harold (Kay) Callaway, Mabel (Floyd) Strmiska and Bernard Callaway; brothers-in-law, (husbands of Blanche) Paul Snyder and Harvey Allen; her son-in-law, Larry Anderson; granddaughter, Cassandra Andrew; great-grandson, Michael Barr; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ernest and Esther Andrew. Memorial services were held at at the La Farge United Methodist Church. Pastor Karen Bankes and Bonita Dorschied officiated. An Order of the Eastern Star service was held at the funeral home.
