Freaman E. Churchfield, of Ivins, Utah, passed away at the age of 84. His latest being Parkinson's Disease and Congestive Heart Failure. He was born to John and Laura Churchfield. He attended school in Buhl, Idaho. Huck worked as a ranch hand with his dad in his younger years and went on to be a heavy equipment operator, a job he was extremely proficient at. He could operate any piece of heavy equipment on any job. He loved the mining industry and worked in Elko County at various mine sites. Huck married Joann Vignola in the 1950's and together they had two sons, Craig Churchfield and Brent Churchfield. They later divorced. In 1970, he met and married the love of his life, Jane Gale Wilde and her four children, Kerry Lynn Wilde, Bert Clinton Wilde, Cindy Lou Wilde and Shelly Rae Wilde. They celebrated their thirty ninth wedding anniversary on June 19th. After living in Pleasant Valley, Nevada, for ten years, they moved to the warmer climate of Ivins, Utah. Huck worked for Magnum's Septic Tank Service for several years and as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Ivins. He was also on turtle patrol during the construction of Tuachan. The trail in Ivins, along Center Street up to Snow Canyon State Park, bears the Churchfield name. Huck was a proud member of the Dixie Elks Lodge for the past thirty years. He is survived by his two sons Craig and Brent Churchfield, his four stepchildren, Kerry Lynn Edson (Joe), Bert Clinton Wilde (Ronie), Cindy Lou Schumann, and Shelly Rae Tomljanovich (Charles); brothers Simeon J. Churchfield and wife Roberta, Marvin Chuchfield and wife Julie; sisters Blanche Graves and husband Edwin and Edna Terbush. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Elsie Hudson and Beulah Thompson.
