Beloved husband of Virginia; loving father of George Barry (Cary) Knapp, Joan Knapp (DeWayne Enyeart), Keith (Peggy) Knapp, Cheryl Knapp (Sue Whitfield) and Gayle Knapp (Patrick Peloso); dear grandfather of Jennifer, Mary, Georgia, David, Elizabeth, Michael, Shannon, Traci, Ashley and Michael; proud great-grandfather of Sidley, Brandon and Cameron; fond brother of the late Marvin (Mary) Knapp; uncle of many.

Illinois/Missouri area. Life member Westchester Kiwanis, American Legion, VFW, National D-Day Museum, Military Order of the Purple Heart and Chapel of the Four Chaplains; Member and National Chaplain/Chaplain Emeritus of the National 4th Division Association 1945-2005.
