ANDRES, Richard Grant age 77, of Kettering, passed away Monday, December 3, 2007. Richard was born on December 24, 1929 in Dayton to Eric and Ella Erma Anna (Grant) Andres. Richard married Anne B. (Bancroft) Andres in 1953. He is survived by Anne; his sister, Dorothy Jacobs; and his children, Robin Andres, Debra (Andres) Dailey, and Michael B. Andres. He loved his six grandchildren, Felicity and Christopher Pochon, Jay and Jessica Dailey, Matthew and Avery Andres, and his great grandson, Simon Tackett. Richard was a graduate of Patterson Co-Op High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1951 through 1953. Richard was employed as a technical artist by N.C.R. for 35 years. He will be remembered for his love of the Cincinnati Reds, the U.D. Flyers, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and his support of his children and grandchildren's numerous sport teams and activities. He will also be remembered for his kind and gentle soul. Memorial service 6 pm Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Reverend Robin Barnes-McCarthy officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-6 pm on Thursday. Private entombment David's Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Pike.
