Paul Rape, 84, of Lorena, passed away on July 9, 2009. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, July 13, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville, with Wayne Cheek officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cedar Hill. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Paul was born in Cedar Hill, Texas, to the late Elam and Glennie (Mayfield) Rape. He resided in Cedar Hill for 75 years before moving to Lorena to be with his daughter. Paul was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army. He worked at LTV Aircraft in Grand Prairie for 43 years in the Quality Assurance department.

He was preceded by his brothers, C.D. and Leroy Rape; and sisters, Jessie Gibson and Jettie Click.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen Rape, of Lorena; sisters, Betty Stinson, of Grand Prairie and Dorothy Hartin, of Cedar Hill; sister-in-law, Lucille Raye, of Cedar Hill; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.
