Went by "Adam". From 1775-1783 served in the Revolutionary War, rose to rank of Captain in the Northampton Militia. Arrived in the ship "Minerva" from Rotterdam and took the oath of allegiance to Pennsylvania Sep 17, 1771.

Her served in numerous battles of the War including at Long Island and White Plains, went to NJ and crossed the river to Trenton and then to Wilmington and was at the Battle of the Brandywine and was at the surrender of Burgoyne. See widow's pension W4610
