A Descendant of the Kartchner/Wilcox family of Philadelphia

There is confusion over his complete name, information presented in Sarah Collinwood's 1974 book listed him as "Henry Culver" honoring his brother who died before he was born. If this is true, all future references to him clearly stresses that "Culver" was preferred.

Culver was born in one of the settlements of the Mormon Muddy Mission - possibly Overton, at the junction of the Muddy and Virgin rivers, which at the time was considered to be part of the Pahute County in the Utah Territory (which included portions of northern Arizona) - an area re-apportioned to Nevada during a new boundary survey before the 1870 census. This area is in what is now Clark County, Nevada.
