Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning, July 10, at 11 o'clock at Sardis by Rev. J. D. Kitchenham.
Mr. Bailey was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Bailey and a nephew of B. W. Bailey of Winnfield.
On October 20, 1913 he was united in marriage to Miss Edna Guin and to this union four children were born.
Immediate relatives surviving the deceased are his wife, Mrs. B. E. Bailey, four children, Mildred, age 14 years, Charles Edward, age 11, Robert, 8, and Katherine, 3. He also leaves to mourn his passing a host of near relatives and friends.
The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church having joined at the age of 12 years.
