Funeral services for Mr. George Milford Campbell, Sr., 79, of West Monroe, LA. will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. with Rev. Rick Crandall officiating. Private graveside service will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery (Choudrant, LA) under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Campbell was born October 14, 1925 in West Monroe, LA and passed away May 31, 2005 in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Campbell served during World War II in the United States Army as a motorcycle scout for General George Patton's Second Armored Division. After his service in U.S. Army, he enlisted in U.S. Navy and was a Second Lt. in the Louisiana National Guard. After serving in the military George earned a B.A. degree and worked as an insurance agent.
Survivors are his wife, Alice Ticheli Campbell; four children: Sgt. George M. Campbell, Jr. and wife Norma; Doug G. Campbell and wife Lauren; Geralyn A. Campbell Rue and husband Eric; and Jeanne R. Campbell Harrigan; sister: Nevelyn Willis; brother: Bob Campbell; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to D.A.V.-Van Fund c/o Gary Littleton-106 Butler St. West Monroe, LA 71291.
