Mr. Ashworth was well known by the people of this comminity, and no man stood higher in the estimation of his neighbors and acquaintances. He was a member of the M.E. church from the time he was seventeen years old. His common daily life was the life of a Christian, and when the sounds of earth grew faint, he feared no evil.
A post mortem examination revealed that Mr. Ashworth died of cancer of the liver.
He was a member of the A.O.U.W. and his wife is therefore provided for, and will receive $2,000 through the Jewell lodge.
