Roy married Christine Williams 21 April 1935 in Laurel, Sussex County, DE. At the time of their marriage she was Pastor for the Nazarene Church in Laurel and he was pastoring in near by Harrington, DE. He also had churches in Wyoming; Montana; Philadelphia, PA, Harrington, DE; Media, PA; Capitol Heights, MD; and Baltimore, MD. Roy's first wife Adeline Grosse-Bowers died at an early age. They had a son Roy Bowers, Jr. Roy & Christine had three children: Stanley Williams, Elizabeth Anne and Rodney Lee.
