Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, for Fred Grant FERGUSON, 86, of 1012 Jefferson St. The Rev. Carl RICKS will officiate and burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 9 a.m. Thursday.
Mr. Ferguson died at 9:18 a.m. Monday at Woodlawn Hospital's emergency room. He had been in failing health for several years. He was born Oct. 26, 1904 in Triumph, Ill., to Frank and Esther M. NELSON FERGUSON. He moved from Oak Park, Ill., to the Rochester community in 1952. On Aug. 31, 1935 in Chicago he married Henrietta May BRUBAKER, who survives. He retired in 1972 from Dean Foods Company. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Manitou Moose Lodge.
Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Dave (Karen Jean) WILSON, Omaha, Neb.; two grandsons, Daren C. and Scott Ferguson WILSON, both of Omaha, and two sisters, Pauline HAWKINS and Ruth FIELDMAN, both of Mendota, Ill. He was one of a family of eight children.
