DARLINGTON, Wis. -- John E. Kenyon, 66, of Darlington, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Southwest Health Center, Platteville, with his family by his side.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 16, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Darlington, with the Rev. Randy Budnar officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Catholic Cemetery, Seymour Township. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at Steil Camacho Funeral Home, Darlington, where there will be a parish and Knights of Columbus rosary recited at 4 p.m.

He was born on March 17, 1943, son of Earl and Leness (Ashmore) Kenyon.

He married Marilyn E. McComish on Oct. 1, 1966, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Seymour Township. They were blessed with four children.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, of the Darlington Knights of Columbus and a former member of the Darlington Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn; his children, Lisa Marie (Gary) Yeates, of Rochester, Lori (friend, Jeff Calder) Kenyon and Linda (Fred) Tyranski, both of Beaver Dam, and Steve (Wendy) Kenyon, of Belmont; six grandchildren, Kaleb John, Elaine "Lanie," Elizabeth "Ellie," Katherine "Katie," Megan, and Abigail "Abbie;" a sister, Joan (Lyle) Krachey, of Peoria, Ariz.; two sisters-in-law, Beverly (Dennis) McGauley and Joyce McComish; two brothers-in-law, Chuck (Judy) McComish and Jim (Lois) McComish; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harvey; a brother-in-law, Lyle Krachey; a sister-in-law, Marita Kenyon; a sister-in-law, Karen Uebele; a brother-in-law, Paul John McComish; and a nephew, Terry Lee McGauley.
