JERRY A. HOOVER, 40, Elida, died at 10:40 a.m. Sept. 23, 1996, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

He was born June 11, 1956, in Goshen, Ind., to Arthur and Gladys Reichelt Hoover. On Oct. 9, 1976, he married Susan Hilty, who survives.

Mr. Hoover was owner and operator of the J.A. Hoover Plumbing and Electric Co. He was a member of the Sharon Mennonite Church.

Survivors also include three sons, Joel A.R. Hoover, Ryan J.A. Hoover and William J.A. Hoover, all at home; three daughters, Jessica D.S. Hoover, Lynnelle M.R. Hoover and Melissa B.J. Hoover, all at home; two brothers, Dale Hoover and Glenn Hoover, both of Goshen, Ind.; and five sisters, Helene Hoover and Valerie Martin, both of Elkhart, Ind., Linda Hoover of Frankfurt, Germany, Doroty Hege of Richland Center, Wis., and Lora Wimer of Sheldon, Wis.; and a grandmother, Kathryn Hoover of Goshen, Ind.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Warren and Nettie Hover, George Hoover, Charles Reichelt and Elmina Smith.
