She was born March 3, 1904, in Pittsylvania County, daughter of James J. and Thenia Shelton Lamkin, Gretna.
Mrs. Altice was a member of Main Street Methodist Church and Eastern Star 105.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Altice is survived by her husband, Esker D. Altice; one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Janet) Blackwell, city; one son, James L. Altice, city; five sisters, Mrs. Lewis Robertson, Roanoke; Mrs. C. M. Walker, Wilson, N. C.; Mrs. L. R. Payne, Mrs. Lawrence Abbott and Mrs. H. C. Shelton, all of Gretna; and one brother, Tommie T. Lamkin, Gretna.
Body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of the Etter Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. John R. Hendricks. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
