Leo Charles Bruinleve, 69, of Cobden, died at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, in the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County, Murphysboro, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 8, 1936, in Cobden to Leo and Margaret Basler Brumleve. He is survived by one brother, Harold Brumleve of Cobden; one sister, Rosemary Heern of Makanda; and one sister-in-law, Sue Brumleve
of Cobden; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wilbert Brumleve. He was a life-long member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Cobden. He was a retired farmer and an excellent gardener and photographer.
Leo Charles was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be remembered by all who knew him for his warm smile and caring nature, and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services for Leo Charles Brumleve will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cobden, with Father Federico Higuera officiating.
