Allen Brown MALLORY was the son of John & Elizabeth (BROWN) MALLORY from Virginia, who came to Upson County from Greene County, Georgia, where John's father Thomas MALLORY died in 1804.

"Colonel A. B. MALLORY, a prominent citizen of Upson county, is dead. He was eighty-two years old. He was a Confederate veteran and was Captain of Company I, Thirty-second [Regiment], Georgia [Infantry]." [Columbus (GA) Enquirer-Sun newspaper, Thursday, 03 APR 1890, p. 1.]

The History of Upson County, Georgia (Nottingham / Hannah, 1930), p. 670: "Woodson Guards, Company I, first enlisted as Company I under Dr. Thomas O. HEARD as Captain in the 6th Georgia Regiment for six months, and in about a week after the company went into service Dr. HEARD was promoted from Captain to Lieutenant-Colonel, and A. B. MALLARY from 1st Lieutenant to Captain; and at the expiration of the six months, the Company was organized as Company I under John F. LEWIS as Captain in the 32nd Regiment and enlisted for the war under John F. LEWIS as Captain, Company I, 32nd Georgia Regiment...." The list of Privates includes Allen B. MALLORY and Tom MALLORY; also, Frank, Allen, Thomas & William BROWN.

The Civil War Soldiers & Sailors System (National Park Service) shows a T. J. MALLORY entered and separated as a Private in Company I, 32nd Regiment, Georgia Infantry, CSA.
