Mrs. Anna Maria, widow of James F. Shaffer, of 126 North West street, died at her home yesterday morning at 8.30. Because the house is quarantined for chicken pox, the funeral services will be private on Wednesday afternoon at 2.30. Burial will be made in Greenwood cemetery. Deceased was aged seventy-two years, five months and twelve days. She was a daughter of Jacob and Maria (Schwoyer) Trexler and she was born in Longswamp October 22, 1842. Her husband preceded her in death six years ago. She is survived by the following children: John T., George T., and Mary L. and Mrs. Hannah R. Brobst, of this city; and Howard, of Easton. Another daughter, Mrs. Emma H., wife of Lewis O. Gaumer, preceded her in death last November. There are also thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Three brothers survive: Henry Trexler, of Mertztown; David S. and J. Alfred, of Shamrock.
