Mrs. Viola Olin, 69, of 2517 Center Rd., Saybrook, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at her home. She had been in failing health for the past year and a half. She was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Olin was born Aug. 21, 1890 in Ashtabula. She was a member of the Progressive Rebekah Lodge No. 687, the Jolly Sisters and the First Christian Church. Mrs. Olin is survived by her husband, Young; four sons, Dale and Dean of Ashtabula, Robert of North Kingsville, and Alison of Sandusky; a sister, Mrs. Elmer Metcalf, Ashtabula; a brother, Dan Large, Port Sanilac, Mich; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Funeral services wil be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Potti Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Edsel Pugh, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Saybrook Cemetery. Calling hours will be observed tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. The Rebekahs will hold their ritual service this evening at 8 o'clock at the chapel.
