CANADIAN - James "Butch" Anderson, 58, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, in Amarillo.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with Matt Cook officiating and Gary McClellan and Jeff Lay assisting. Inurnment will be by Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian.

Butch was born April 28, 1951, in Dalhart to Ada Mae "Sue" Davis Anderson and the late R.L. Anderson Jr. He was a 1971 graduate of Canadian High School and then went on to attend New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, N.M. He was a lifelong resident of Canadian and a member of First Christian Church. Butch was a truck driver for more than 30 years.

Survivors include a son, Reson Lee Anderson of Canadian; a daughter, Tiffany Rhea of Amarillo; his mother, Ada Mae "Sue" Anderson of Pampa; a brother, Roy Lee Anderson and wife Barbara of Geronimo, Okla.; two sisters, Roberta Haines of Canadian and Eva McClellan and husband Gary of Wheeler; and numerous nieces, nephews and family.

The family suggests memorials be to Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, P.O. Box 51628, Amarillo, TX 79159.

The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at First Christian Church.
