Mrs. Docia Ann Barnes of Moulton, Alabama, passed away to her heavenly home May 21, 1958. She was 84 years old and the wife of Lucian M. Barnes. She was born April 11, 1874, in Lawrence County, Alabama, lived her entire life in Moulton, Alabama.

She accepted Christ and joined the Methodist Church at 11 years of age. Liberty Methodist Church has lost a sincere member who was faithful attending services regularly when her health permitted.

For the latter part of her life, her health failed but her faith in God grew stronger. She read her Bible and church paper daily and in her pain and suffering she could always smile and say a good word about her Christ.

Mrs. Barnes was loved by all who knew her and while we deeply mourn her passing, we cherish the memory of her kind, patient and radiant spirit.

Survivors include: one son, Charlie B. Barnes; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 22 at Liberty Methodist Church with Rev. G. M. Bynum and Rev. W. G. Rhodes officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
