Taylors, SC - John Thomas Smith died Saturday, Feb. 8, 1958, following an illness of two years, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. B. Jackson. He was a life long resident of the Holly Springs Community, of the Upper Spartanburg County, SC, except the last two years where he lived with his daughter. Son of John Robert and Mollissa Thomas Smith and was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church for 65 years. Survivors included: three daughters; Mrs. Eunice Sherbert, Mrs. Joe Franklin, and Mrs. L. B. Jackson; three sons, Clyde, Eugene, and Carl Smith; 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
