Son of John and Ann (Storm) Kryder, born in Miles Twp., Centre Co., Pennsylvania and the youngest of 10 children.
Jonas married Mary Everhard on December 24, 1833 in Medina Co., Ohio. In Sept., 1837 they purchased land in Medina Co., five children were born there. In 1848 they purchased land in Lorain Co., five more children were born there, in Oct., 1861 they sold out and moved to Christian Co., Illinois, it is there that Jonas died.
