Ronald J. "Nick" Nicklaus, 43, of 1634 W. Indiana 14, Rochester, died at 5 p.m. Monday at his residence. Born in Rochester to Tom and Ladonna Heckathorn Nicklaus, he lived his entire life in this community. He was a mechanic and owner-operator of Sand Hill Auto Repair. He was a graduate of Rochester High School and was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army from 1980 to 1984. Survivors include his parents, Tom and Ladonna Nicklaus, Rochester; two sisters, Rhonda Palmer and Rhea Sherwood and husband Russell, all of Houston, Texas; and his paternal grandmother, Lucille Nicklaus, Rochester. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester and May Heckathorn, and Duane Nicklaus, and an uncle, Louis Heckathorn, in Germany in 1945. There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are by Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester.
