Richard Arnold Harrison of South Weimar Street, Appleton, Wisconsin, died at home Friday, December 26, 1997

He was the son of the late Sanford Harrison and Gertrude of Wilkes-Barre,PA. Richard was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania and graduated from George Washington University, Washington, DC.

He received and MA degree from Washington University, Seattle, Washington, and a PhD from Princeton University, in New Jersey and served as the dean of the faculty at Lawrence University, Appleton, Wisconsin.

Surviving him is his wife, the former Jane Serumgard; son, Laurence, and James of Bel Aire, MD.

Graveside services were held at 1 pm Tuesday in the Workmen's Circle Section of the Mt. Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville. Rabbi Michael Joseph will officiate.

Arrangements were by the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre, PA.
