from Westphalia, IA 1872~1997 book "PRESERVING OUR PAST, ENSURING OUR FUTURE":

Leonard Rosmann (2/1/1918~8/28/1996) was the youngest child of Joseph and Rose Hodapp Rosmann.
His brothers and sisters were: Raymond, Adeline, Sr. Louis Rosmann, SSSF, and Walter. Leonard was educated in Westphalia and was a member of the St. Boniface Class of 1935. On September 9, 1941, he married Agnes Wingert, (b.3/5/1922), the daughter of Heruy and Martha Reinig Wingert. Her brothers and sisters include: Raymond, Marie Blum, Leo, and Tony. Agnes attended school at St. Mary's in Panama.
Their children are: Martha of Springfield, Missouri, (b.8/29/l943), married Thomas Rice, three children;
Mary Agnes of Hartland, Wisconsin, married Roger Brown, four children; and Kenneth of Westphalia, (b/1/26/l954).
Leonard and Agnes were both active in Westphalia church and community activities. He was chairman and member of the parish council and a longtime member of the choir. He served as director, member and president of the Westphalia Co~op, director of the Westphalia Development Corporation, charter member and director of the Southwest Farm Business Association. He is one of the original founders and directors of the Little Flower Haven where he served as treasurer for 25 years. Along with being a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, he was a leader of the Westphalia Boys 4~H Club. Agnes was a leader of the Westphalia Girls 4~H Club for many years.
