Winferd Lewis "Shorty" Flud, age 57, of Atkins, AR died Saturday evening, October 4, 1997 at his home. He was born in Eufaula, OK, son of the late Nathan Manuel Flud. He was a retired farmer and an Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Young Flud of Atkins; his mother, Ruby Brackett Flud of Weatherford, TX; two daughters, Rolinda Corzine and Julie Hall both of Mt. George; five brothers, James Ray Flud of Lonoke, Woodrow Flud of California, Thurman Flud of Weatherford, TX, Nathaniel Flud of Atkins and Gary Flud of London, AR; two sisters, Shirley Trimmer of London, AR and Donna Bolden of Russellville, AR; two step sons; three step-daughters; four grandchildren and three step grandchildren.
