GRISWOLD Ardis - E. (Gregg) Griswold, 95, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 23, 2006. Born on February 18, 1910 in Jerome, Idaho, she was the daughter of the late Edward Maynard Gregg and Hannah Eveline (Montgomery) Gregg. Ardis was a former nursing instructor with Florida Community College, she played a major part in the beginning of their Nursing Program and became the assistant director of that program. Prior to her being a nursing instructor she worked with St. Luke's Hospital. She was a member of the Brentwood Baptist Church. Ardis is preceded in death by her son, David O. Griswold, her sisters, Dorothy McKean and Gladys Patterson and her brother, Jack Gregg. She is survived by her four children, Eileen (Griswold) Miranda (Jim) of San Antonio, Tx., Loren W. Griswold (Roberta) of Roswell, GA., Gerald G. Griswold (Jackie) of Jacksonville, Fl., and Robin (Griswold) Carlos (Jason) of Jacksonville, Fl.; one brother, Harold Gregg of Jerome, Idaho; seven grandchildren, Patti Boettger, Janet Grandshaw, Christopher Carson, Katherine Severtson, Loren M. Griswold, Louann Christine Clifton, and Pamela Tyrrell; 22 greatgrandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family greeted friends at HardageGiddens Funeral Home Chapel (4315 Main Street) Jacksonville, FL from 6:00pm till 8:00pm, yesterday, Wednesday, January 25, 2006. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, today, Thursday, January 26, 2006 at HardageGiddens Main Street Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Reed officiating, interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
