Obituary.
EMMA M. HEMPEL
Mrs. Emma Hempel, 80, formerly of 2008 Western Ave., Manitowoc, died
Wednesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had
resided the past three years.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John United Church
of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Hempel, nee Emma Zolk, was born Jan. 17, 1890, in Town of Liberty,
Manitowoc County, daughter of the late August and Mary Pospieszny Zolk.
She resided in Manitowoc County all her life. She was married to Frank O.
Hempel April 27, 1912, at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1960.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Martha Reindl and Mrs. Frank Zich,
of Manitowoc and Mrs. Vanda Bauer, of Albuquerque, N.M. and nieces and
nephews.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until 11:30 a.m. Friday
where the body will lie in state from noon until time of service.
