Born May 27, 1932, in Oceana, she was the daughter of the late Asa Alfred "Acy" Aliff (1897-1980) and India Mae Short-Aliff (1906-1970).
Widowed early in life, Ginny raised her three children which was the most important achievement in her life. She began her Christian walk with God at an early age and continued through until God called her home. She was most happy and content in serving with her husband in ministry until he was called home. Anyone who knew Ginny knew she loved God and always had a testimony. Although her life on earth wasn't easy, she persevered and finish the race.
Her biggest joy of life was spending time with all her grandchildren. She treasured those moments and considered them a blessing from God.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Morgan (1925-Deceased) whom she married on December 23, 1949 in Logan, Logan County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1949, Page 237, Application Date: December 16, 1949); a daughter, Linda Darlene Morgan (1950-1951); a brother, Lonnie Ray Aliff (1923-1926), and a sister, Nancy Lee Aliff-Gunter (1935-2007).
Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Steven Dewayne Morgan and wife, Emily, of Reidsville, N.C., and Brian Craig Morgan and wife, Reta, of Oceana; a daughter, Melinda Jeanine Morgan-Brown of Axton, Va., and her companion David Bass of Raleigh, N.C.; two brothers, Johnny Aliff (B. 1926) of Oceana and Jackie Lee Aliff (B. 1929) of Kopperston; a brother-in-law, Thomas Gunter of Oceana; nine grandchildren, Dewayne Morgan Jr., Brandon Dishmon, Taylor Whittington, Brent Morgan, Chelsea Brown, Marissa Morgan, Colton Morgan, Londen Morgan and Dawson Morgan; one great-grandchild, Chris Morgan; a special niece, Robin Trainer; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
