Annie and Albert were married 20 Oct 1899 at Holy Trinity Church in Brompton Parish, Kent County, England, and they were the parents of:

Thursday May 15, 1924:
The funeral of the late Mrs. Albert Benge, who died in the Public General Hospital, Chatham last Friday, age 50 years, was held on Monday afternoon. Services were conducted in the Merlin Methodist Church by Rev. Mr. Davison. The services were largely attended and were impressive. Ivan Rum sang an appropriate solo. The pallbearers were: Jas. McHardy, Ira Gray, Wm, Hope, Ern. Hope, and Harold Gardiner. Interment was made in Merlin cemetery. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. The late Mrs. Benge underwent a serious operation on Tuesday, from which she never fully recovered.

Annie Elizabeth Newman, daughter of William and Betty Newman was born October 26th 1873, at Chatham County of Kent, England where she spent her early life. She was united in marriage to Albert C Benge, October 20th 1899. Her being a native of the same country and town coming to the United States in 1882 and remaining until 1899, when he returned to claim his bride after which they made their home at Wolcott, Indiana, United States, till the spring of 1913 when they moved to a farm near Tilbury, Ontario, Canada. Living there seven years then moving to another farm near Merlin, remaining there four years, from which place they moved to their late residence in Merlin where they remained until by illness Mrs Benge was taken to the Public Hospital for treatment, in hopes of bettering her health. Finally undergoing an operation which she went through successfully Monday, May 5th, but on Thursday, May 8th was taken worse and rapidly failed until the end came on Friday at 3 p.m., May 9th. As a child, she was reared (???) coming to this country she with her husband and children united with the Methodist Church of Merlin about four years ago under the ministry of Rev. Murray Stewart. She took an active part in the church work and remained faithful to her Lord until the end.

She leaves to mourn her loss a loving husband, two daughters, Ada and Dolly Eveline Benge, and two sons, Arthur Newman and Harold William Benge, of Merlin. Nine sisters, five of whom survive are Minnie of London, England, Eliza, Ada, Agnes, and Florence, of Chatham England - Alice passing away at the age of 22 years, and the other three going to the great beyond in infancy. By her kind and sweet disposition, she endeared herself to the many communities in which she lived and she leaves a host of friends to mourn her loss.

Those from a distance are his brother Walter J Benge and wife, and his sister Mrs Annie (Benge) McDuffie and husband Fred all of Wolcott, Indiana.
