Genevieve Kathleen SABINS, was the 1st child of Frederick Monroe "Fred" SABINS and his wife Ruth Jessie "Nan" MILLER. She was born in the family home at 2003 North 16th Street, Kansas City, Wyandotte Co., Kansas at at 8:00 am. The doctor in attendance was Doctor George H. Hotson (Hatson) and the attending nurse was Mrs. Martin.
She moved, with her parents to Lenexa, Kansas in about 1921. In 1926, She moved, with her parents, to a ranch south of Gage, Musselshell Co., Montana. She attended a small one room school house and finished the eighth grade.
On 15 October 1932, she married Albert Leonard WALL. They were married in the Parsonage by Reverend Louis L. Ortmayer in Roundup, Musselshell Co., Montana. Witnesses at the wedding were Fred M. SABINS, her father, and Mrs. Louis L. Ortmayer.
She lived, with her husband, on a ranch until they decided to move to the State of Washington. They loaded all of their belongings on a train and left Roundup, Montana on 2 March 1935. She traveled with her son Philip Albert and baby daughter Felicity Ruth. She also had traveling with her, Anna Margaret (Sandberg) WALL, her mother-in-law and Myrtle Elvera WALL, Albert's sister. They arrived in Olympia, Washington on 4 March 1935.
They stayed at Alice Alida (WALL) WILLIAMS house while they looked for a permanent residence. Her husband, Albert, traveled separately with the cattle, horses, and other farm animals that the brought with them from Roundup.
They rented a small house near Maytown, Thurston Co., Washington. They eventually bought an 80 acre farm two miles North East of Rainier, Thurston Co., Washington.
She was an active member of the Rainier Union Chapel, in Rainier, Thurston Co. Washington, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She worked at several different jobs during her life including the Fruit Cannery in Olympia, picking beans, blackcap berries, and strawberries in Yelm, during the summer. She was a field boss for SCOTT Dutton, a local strawberry grower in the area.
After her husband's death on 3 February 1973, she had to learn to drive a car for the first time. She attended Capitol Business College in Olympia and graduated on 29 December 1973.
She worked for the State of Washington at the 5000 Building on Capital Blvd. in Tumwater, Washington. She worked at Sunnydale Farms, a chicken ranch near Tenino until 1976. She sorting eggs and inspected eggs.
She was killed in an automobile accident on 27 March 1988 on the highway between the towns of Rainier and Yelm.
