Miss Bertha May Cowin, aged sixteen years, is dead at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cowin, of Washington Township, of typhoid fever, and following her death which occurred at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, it was stated that one of her five brothers would probably fall a victim to the same disease before many hours had passed.

The boy is but eleven years old and has been ill for the past several weeks. He had about recovered a few weeks ago but has suffered a relapse and is now in a condition that is considered highly critical.

The deceased, the only daughter in the family, had been ill for about five weeks.

The family has the sympathy of all their neighbors and other friends in their hour of bereavement, and all will hope that their afflicted boy may be spared to them. Later, Oscar died at 3 a.m.

Joint funeral services will be held at the home at 10 o'clock Friday morning, Rev. Samuel D. Hawkins officiating and interment will be made in the Snyder Cemetery in charge of Hageman & Hawkins.
