Emma Jean Larsen Guymon,78, passed away January 12, 2000.

She was born March 18, 1921, to Willard Lester and Anna Margaret Larsen in North Logan, Utah. She married Lowell Orton Guymon July 4, 1947; marriage solemnized July 25, 1951 in the Manti Temple.

Spent her early years on the family farm in North Logan.
She graduated from South Cache High School. Attended Utah State Agricultural College. In 1942, her family moved to Burbank, California. During World War II, she and other family members were employed by the Lockheed Airplane Company in assembling P-38 bombers. In 1945, her family purchased a ranch in California's Antelope Valley. "The Ranch" would always be an important part of her life. Lived in Lancaster, California, until 1987 when she moved next to her son, Michael, in West Valley City, Utah.

Active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held numerous callings in the Sunday School, Primary, Young Women's, and Relief Society organizations. Faithful till the end, her greatest joy was that her two sons are serving as Bishops within the Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael Lowell (Deborah)Guymon, West Valley City, Utah; Christopher Larsen (Mary Jane) Guymon, Chicago Heights, Illinois; five grandchildren, Christopher (Courtney), Gabriel, Michael, Christine, and John; brothers, Willard Bench (Bonnie) Larsen, Lancaster, California; Clyde Spencer (Betty) Larsen, Lancaster, California; sister, Erma Lorraine (Eldon)Probert, Orem, Utah; sisters-in-law, Ellen Larsen, American Fork, Utah; and Kathleen (Robert) Bland, Lancaster, California; brother-in-law, James (Barbara) Guymon, Parowan, Utah. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, H Dean Larsen, Lester Larsen, and Clifford Larsen.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 17, 2000, 12:00 noon at the Hunter South Stake, 5180 West 4700 South, West Valley City, Utah, Bishop Michael L. Guymon conducting the service. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
