Calvin H. Funk died at his home in Fontana. Had lived on a farm in Twin Springs area for 33 years before moving to Fontana two years ago. Born in Pike County, Illinois. Married Matilda Russell in October 1869. Survived by wife and six children Ernest and William Funk of Twin Springs, Russel Funk of Oklahoma City, Jessie wife of J. E. Folks of Kansas City, Kansas, Bessie, wife of R. A. Smith of west of Fantana, and Loleta at home. Also 17 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren. Found on the 1880 census in Dayton,Yamhill County Oregon and 1895 Kansas state census with another daughter Ettie/Hatty.
