PFC, DANIEL THOMAS WEAVER – US ARMY, RET.

Born: June 10, 1988 to Robert and Linda in Aurora, Co
Taken too soon: June 12, 2009

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Weaver. In his short life, he succeeded in many things. He was a Cub Scout and Webloe Scout, receiving the Arrow of Light. He was an active member in DeMolay International and served as Master Councilor of Aurora Chapter followed by State Scribe for Colorado State Chapter, then next helping at Ameth Chapter in El Paso TX, and finally receiving the highest honor bestowed upon a member – the Degree of Chevalier.

Daniel met many of his wonderful friends in the Masonic Organization, his fiancée, Jennifer Fairchild and her family: the Aggerbecks , the Finns, the Lehmans, the Marshalls, Papa John Harrington III and many many more, far too many to list individually. He joined Highlands Lodge #86, A.F. & A.M. becoming a Master Mason July 12, 2006 and was currently serving as Marshal for his Lodge.

Daniel left home for the US Army on Mother's Day of 2007. He completed his basic training at Fort Sill, OK and was transferred to Fort Bliss, TX for his permanent duty station –14T10 (Patriot Operations/Maintenance).

Daniel was a sports fanatic whose favorite teams included the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets, Pittsburg Penguins, Oregon Ducks and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Daniel was a walking talking encyclopedia of football and baseball statistics. His love of sports offered him the opportunity to play anything involving a ball with his Best Friends and Brothers Sean, Josh, Cameron, Tracy, David, R.T. and Erik. This love gave him enjoyment while playing competitive sports in Elementary and Middle School. When Daniel wasn't playing sports he was playing video games or watching a movie with Friends and/or Family. Daniel viewed school as social opportunity, where he met Jessie and Toby and became lifelong friends.

Daniel was a very sociable; charming and charismatic individual and carried many of his friendships from Kindergarten all through his life. Once you were Daniel's friend, you were a friend for life and he would do anything for a friend. He had an amazing sense of humor and always made those around him laugh with his silly little sayings like chicka-chicka yeeaahhh or chicka-chicka nooooo and his crazy thumbs up funky smilin face. He was quick witted and never without a snappy come back. If you never had the pleasure you were surely missing out.

Daniel enjoyed the Colorado Mammoth and Colorado Crush and never missed a game until he enlisted in the Army. He was a Charter member of the Club Crush and many members' commented on what a Gentleman he was. He would always carry in the heavy bins of merchandise for Amity to sell at the Club Crush membership booth or give up a chair so a lady could sit. Amity and Lew always said you just don't find boys like that anymore. He even made friends with many of the members of the teams and we have fond memories of gathering with the team and club members after the games at the Blue Sky Grill or the tailgate parties in the Pepsi Center parking lot.

Daniel affected so many lives and this feeble attempt to sum up the many accomplishments that Daniel has made does not even scratch the surface of this 21 year old man. He was always willing to help others unfortunately Daniel was always last on Daniel's list to help.
