Donald H. Stewart, 73, of 11902 VanderKarr road, Hebron, died Tuesday morning in his home.
He was born May 2, 1891, in Hebron, the son of John J. and Frances Stewart. Mr. Stewart, a farmer, was a lifetime resident of the area.
On June 25, 1913, in Lyons, Wis., he was married to Ruth D. Fellows, who survives. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary last year.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Lynn Ellison, Crystal Lake, Mrs. Donald Young and Mrs. Lyle Given, Woodstock, Miss Edith Stewart, Chicago, and Mrs. George Ditzenberger, Hebron; a son, John J., Hebron; and 19 grandchildren. A sister and brother preceded him in death.
Friends may call in the Schneider-Leucht funeral home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Hugh Burtner of the Hebron Methodist Church will officiate, with burial in South Hebron cemetery.
