OCEANA -- Mrs. June Elizabeth Stennett, 46, died Sunday in a Beckley hospital following a long illness.
Born June 21, 1940, at La Crosse, Wis., she was the daughter of Ethel Fryseth Schnick of La Crosse and the late Albert Schnick.
Mrs. Stennett was an 11-year resident of Wyoming County, a member of the Lutheran Church of La Crosse and a former employee of the Oceana Library.
Other survivors include her husband, Marvin E. Stennett; two sons, Marvin E. Stennett Jr. of Eden, N.C., and Gary Stennett of Sparta, Wis.; two daughters. Pamela and Patricia Stennett, both of Oceana; a brother, Gary Schnick of La Crosse; and two sisters, Nancy De Young of West Salem, Wis., and Arlene Christopherson of Bangor, Wis.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Toneda Baptist Church at Toney Fork with the Rev. John Rollins and Fred Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Kennedy Cemetery at Crany.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Evans and Evans Funeral Directors in Oceana and at the church one hour prior to services.
