He was interred originally at U.S. Military Cemetery, St. Juan, France. Plot E, Row 12, Grave 713. After the war, at request of his father he was reinterred at Morris Hill Cemetery, Boise, Idaho. CPL. Arendt was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart.
